While Preparing for the next phase of the Marana Heritage Project, I hiked to this butte and visited the cave with Tohono O'odham petroglyphs. I originally found these petroglyphs a number of years ago by chance - When riding my bike, I noticed the cave and made the short climb up the hill. I was amazed to find these petroglyphs and recently decided to revisit them and take some documentary shots.

This butte is just northwest of the Tortolita Mountains in a group of buttes named "Owl's Head Buttes"
