Kathy was amazing, fun to work with and beautiful. She is incredible , and if you've seen my business cards, there's a good chance you already know this. Although she is a stunning natural beauty, her images didn't quite illustrate this straight out of the camera. So, I spent a bit of time in Photoshop and smoothed her skin, helped her tan a bit, cleaned the beach, removed the catamaran rigging, and performed some minor surgical procedures to emphasize her essence. The part that most people need to understand is that doing a bit of Photoshop or 'airbrushing' back in the day isn't really lying -- it's creating an artful image that represents the essence of the person and the scene as I, the photographer, saw it when we were on the beach.
